Greer Island Park, more commonly known as "Beer Can Island," is a secluded beach area near the northern end of Longboat Key.

The public beach at Libo Key is on the southern tip of the island, less than a mile from St. Armand's Circle. Here, you'll find a pavilion, picnic area, and ample public parking.

Some of the most beautiful beaches in the Sarasota area are located at Longboat Key. The beaches here are quite secluded and perfect for a romantic afternoon.

In the 1987 "Great International White Sand Beach Challenge," Siesta Key was granted the proud title of having the "whitest sand in the world." This is one of the most popular beaches in the Sarasota area, and it tends to get populated very early in the day. Lifeguards, volleyball courts, and a picnic area/playground are all found here.
